PLAINVILLE, CT- September 14, 2011. April Barthuly, P.T., M.S. completed her clinical residency program on August 31, 2011 to become the first graduate in AllStar Therapy’s Geriatric Clinical Residency Program.
AllStar Therapy, LLC joined a select group to become the 7th company in the country to receive credentialing from The American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education.
Walter Gorack, the Director of Residency, read a list of Barthuly’s accomplishments over the 12 month program as he introduced her during a celebration at Apple Rehab Farmington Valley.
AllStar Therapy owner, Lisa Wilson-Foley presented Barthuly with her certificate. “ This program is so important to our profession. Apple Rehab Sport & Spa Opens in Hartford
Joint Venture brings Apple Rehab Sport & Spa and Valley Rehabilitation Together
HARTFORD, CT (February 22, 2011) — Apple Rehab Sport and Spa, headquartered in Avon, CT is announcing a joint venture with Valley Rehabilitation to open a Hartford location of Apple Rehab Sport & Spa, a facility providing outpatient physical therapy. The new center is located near Hartford Hospital at 100 Retreat Avenue, the location of the existing Valley Rehabilitation facility.
Hartford’s Apple Rehab Sport & Spa will initially provide physical therapy services to current patients but plans on increasing services to include occupational therapy, certified hand therapy, industrial medicine services, and functional capacity evaluations. The Hartford facility will also offer specialized back and neck care.
“We are committed to growing our outpatient business,” said Lisa Wilson-Foley, President of Apple Rehab Sport & Spa. “This venture gives us a presence in the Hartford area, providing customers a convenient location for outpatient treatment, and affording us the ability to apply the sport and spa concept into an integrated treatment approach.”
While the facility will initially be operating in the existing Valley Rehabilitation space, Apple Rehab Sport & Spa will be expanded and modernized later this year. All current Valley Rehabilitation patients will continue to receive exceptional, uninterrupted care.
